A Quad made for the Drag Strip

The weather is getting progressively better and we are starting to spend more time outside. Which also means the drop-tops and motorcycles are out in full force. If you really want to get some attention, why not pick yourself up a new GG Quadster and join in the fun?

The GG Quadster is the older brother of the GG Quad which was originally introduced last year. It featured a BMW built 1150cc boxer engine making 85 horsepower. It would launch the Quad to 60mph in 4.9 seconds and keep going up to 106mph. Pretty good numbers. But who ever settles for good?

The next build benefited from an extra 50cc and some internal tweaks to almost double the horsepower, that's right 167 horsepower. It also dropped the 0-60 time to 3.5 seconds and increased the top speed to roughly 135mph.

Power is routed through a 6-speed manual transmission straight to a set of super-sticky tires. Aluminium was used as much as possible to reduce weight and a performance suspension is standard. The MSRP for such thing? Right around $65,000 and depending on what boxes you decide to check it can hit $75,000.
