Marketing your idea or product can be tough.
Luckily with today's computers, we can reach millions of people easily and with little to no money. Unfortunately millions of people and businesses are also trying to reach us as well. When it comes to the Internet, it can be difficult for people to easily find you.
Choosing the right domain name can be an important move for your marketing strategy. Sometimes, it seems that all the decent domain names are taken. While doing some investigation for one of my crazy ideas I came across a website that helps people find short memorable domain names. It is called 5Letter.com.
I spent hours on the site, trying to come up with some sort of savvy letter combinations for ideas and businesses I might come up with in the future. Since domain names are relatively inexpensive, it's important to find the right one for you. Maybe a five letter domain name isn't going to work with your business or idea but, at least it's a great way to get ideas for what ever project you might be working on.
As far as hosting your site goes, I use DreamHost.com. I've been very happy with them, they have some great deals that start at $7.95/month. They offer way more than other hosting companies that charge the same.
As I always say...
"Why look at the Internet when you can build the Internet?"
