Insanely Irresistible - 10 Fun Ads Showing The Axe Effect Around the World

It appears the so called Axe Effect has taken over the world.

According to the Axe Effect website, "The Axe Effect is the internationally recognized name for the increased attention Axe-wearing males receive from eager, and attractive female pursuers."

Axe currently sells everything from deodorants to body-sprays and shower gel worldwide and has used some very creative and alternative advertising to promote their products.

These ten irresistable ads promote the sexy Axe brand and all of its' products with wit and humor around the world.

1. Feel me up - Dubai

This skirt mouse-pad was created so the user actually has to put their hand up the skirt to reach their mouse. These were distributed to promote the AXE website.

In the Arab world?

I am quite surprised such ads are used in the Gulf countries. I can even say I don't believe that!
I mean, Saudi Arabia? Nooo way!

I agree..."in the Arab world?"

I agree with Lalla Mira, The Arab world would never allow such an advert.
This whole Blog is For AXE and By AXE - this Blog itself is nothing more than an Entire Advert in itself. Shamefull

Ads in the Gulf

You can actually get away with a lot in Dubai and the rest of the UAE. It really depends on context. For example, you can have sexual ads in nightclubs because the authorities don't really try to enforce Islamic values in nightclubs, given that they are already considered inappropriate.

The Saudi one is surprising, it probably just didn't make sense to the Mutaween (religious police) or they never got a chance to see it.

Cool article, thanks.

Double Standards

I would say Axe has hit the nail on the head with its ad campaign. I mean, guys across the world, including Arabs, have fantasies regarding women. I don't see anything wrong with this, after all this is how nature intended it to be! Those opposing the ad campaign can only be classified as having "Double Standards"! What is so wrong with acknowledging sexual desires? Even more so, when none of the Axe's ads are actually showing anything and are using creative ways of expressing the most humanly desire.
I really admire the creativity behind all the above ads.

It's no wonder they need to spend so much on advertising...

when the stuff smells worse than cat pee. Forget the official name of female attention, try the official smell of male desperation.

that was great...
