The Verizon LG VX10000 Voyager Smart Phone is Nipping at the Heels of the iPhone
Verizon has recently released the LG VX10000 Voyager which is a smart phone with enough features to put it on the same playing field as the Apple iPhone.
The LG Voyager is exclusive to Verizon, and it offers some features that the iPhone doesn't.
LG Voyager with full QWERTY keyboard
The LG Voyager is much more than just a phone. This device is capable of browsing the Internet, email, text/instant messaging, taking photos, playing music, and even watching TV. The built-in web browser will display full web pages at 3G speeds. The back of the LG Voyager sports a 2 megapixel camera for taking photos. This device also has memory expansion up to 8 GB so that you can add music and photos to the device.
The LG Voyager offers a 2.8 inch LCD Touch-screen display on the front of the device. The device opens up like a clam, to reveal another 2.8 inch LCD display. It also reveals the full QWERTY keyboard which is used for email or text messaging. The Voyager also sports a virtual keyboard for typing, if you want to go that route.

What's unique about the touch-screen interface on the LG Voyager is the way that the device vibrates when you touch a virtual key. The iPhone doesn't have this capability, and this small vibration really helps to confirm which button you've chosen.
Another great feature of the LG Voyager is the Vcast capabilities. For those of you who don't what Vcast is, it's basically like watching TV on the device. For about $15 per month, you can watch 8 channels of programming including MTV, ESPN, MSNBC, and more. This service also supports music as well.
The LG Voyager also supports Bluetooth technology for wireless operation with Bluetooth-enabled headphones. The Voyager is also capable of GPS functions with Verizon's VZ Navigator GPS service.
Oh yeah, and the LG Voyager is also a cell phone!
The LG VX10000 Voyager is available through Verizon for a reasonable $299.
