Mother's Day is the day when you are suppose to show mother how much you appreciate her. This article is to give the father's some advice on what to give for Mother's Day.
The problem with Mother's Day is that we moms always expect something on that day. And I'm not talking about a piece of jewelry (but that is a close second).(Some Suggestions) For all you father's out there wondering what you should get your wife (on behalf of the kids), I have the answer for you - a reservation!
All we mothers want and fantasize about for Mother's Day is a day off. As mothers, we take care of everything for everyone in the family. And we're tired of taking care of everyone. We don't need someone to take care of us (that would be nice but unrealistic). We just don't want to have to take care of anyone else for just one day. We all dream of just one day of peace and quiet. Having to think of no one else for just one day. Get the picture yet?
I know some moms don't have the luxury of being able to take a whole day off from work (and what we do is work), so how about just not having to cook dinner and clean up after dinner? NO - that does not mean celebrating Mother's Day at home and having hubby cook dinner. That just inevitabley means that mom will have to clean up afterwards. Hubby might think he will do an awesome job of cleaning up - but he won't. We always have to clean up after you clean up. (I've heard about those dads that actually clean better than the moms but I've never seen one in real life. Do you know of anyone like that? I think that's an urban myth).
So dads ... just make a reservation at a nice restaurant so mom does not have to clean up after dinner. If you actually take the initiative and make a reservation, your wife will remember it and treasure it for a long time. And don't push off the task to anyone else who's a mom (like your sister) ... they are a mom too and want their day off too.
If you can't manage to make a reservation, a piece of jewelry will ease the pain.(Pretty Jewelry) (Great Jewlery Set Deals) Having your girlfriends compliment you on your new jewelry and being able to say that you got it from your husband is a pretty great feeling. It doesn't have to be expensive, but it needs to be something she would pick for herself.
Being a mom is a labor of love but it is still labor. Just show us that you love us back. That's the greatest give a mom can get on Mother's Day.
