COUTDOWN TO THE FINALE - THURSDAY, MAY 11 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) In this recap episode of the last four shows, relive the journey that the 12 semifinalists took when they used the $50,000 they were given to finalize their inventions. The final four inventors will be highlighted and shown moving on to the final round, one step closer to winning one million dollars and to becoming the next great "American Inventor". THE FINALE - THURSDAY, MAY 11 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) Viewers will see the four finalists struggle to make a 30-second commercial that best highlights their invention. The commercials will be shown and America will vote on who should win the one million dollar prize and become the next great American Inventor. DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!!!! Your favorite show is going up against the NBA Playoffs on May 18. The good news is that there are tons of commercials during a basketball game, so now we know which show we’re going to switch to.

Simon Cowell would like to see the baby car seat "ANECIA" win. Evidently this invention has been evaluated as the most lucrative to the producers and affiliates of this show. The other three are so, so, inventions that would be very hard to license to any company. People don't realize how hard it is to sell an invention to a company. Many have their own R&D and are resistive to paying outsiders when they can change or improve on the conception and manufacture it themselves for full profits.
