Music To Our Ears - 9 Clever Musical Ads From Around the World


Music plays a huge role in the cultures of every country around the world. Check out the following nine ads for everything from rock radio stations to classical music classes and hip jazz night clubs.

1. Air Guitar, United Kingdom

To help launch a new radio station, guitar stands were placed around Glasgow City Centre inviting people to help themselves to an air guitar.

2. ZB 104, Honduras

In Honduras, to support an existing radio station, musical notes were attached to phone and cable wires to resemble a musical staff.

3. Music School, Tunisia

These posters to promote a music school in Tunisia were placed on car windshields to create the affect of a violin and violin bow.

4. Radio Energy, Switzerland

Before a major Robbie Williams concert, a two pack of g-string panties, with the radio station's logo on them of course,were given to adoring female fans. One pair to keep and one pair to throw on stage. Needless to say the radio station's name covered the stage that night and the news that following morning.

5. 100% Commercial Free, USA

To promote no commercials on Sirius radio, this billboard campaign ran.

6. Electric Fence, South Africa

Electric fences like this can be seen all over Cape Town, South Africa, so this guitar company placed their ads so strategically, that the not so attractive fence now doubles as guitar strings in these ads.

7. Jazz Festival, Sweden

To promote the Stockholm Jazz Festival, these posters of pianos, saxophones and pianos were put up throughout the city using already existing poles and water pipes. The copy read: You Can't Miss It.

8. Piano Ticket, Russia

These tickets were used for shows at a Russian Jazz Club. On the keys, once you flip open your ticket, are the upcoming dates of other performances.

9. Wear It Loud, South Africa

These t-shirts were originally designed to help in the re-branding of a South African music store, however, because of their popularity they are now sold in the store.
