Octodog -- The Frankfurter Converter

We're always telling our kids not to play with their food, but sometimes you just gotta break the rules. I'm talking about the Octodog , a revolutionary new "frankfurter converter" that skillfully turns a simple wiener into an eight legged creature from the sea.

According to the manufacturer, the hotdog is among the top ten items found to cause choking in young children. Pediatricians recommend slicing a hotdog linearly which can reduce the chances of choking greatly. The Octodog does this for you, and it's a lot more fun that a plain old knife. Plus, kids can do it themselves. You simply insert your favorite hotdog brand into the converter holder, pop on the eyes to hold it in place, slide the holder down, remove the base, remove the eyes, and gently shake your creature off. Now your little fella is ready to cook.

I think Octodogs would make the perfect addition to an Under the Sea birthday party theme, a picnic or cookout, a sports event, or just for lunch. Kids will have as much fun making them as and eating them.
