Saitek has released the ultimate rechargeable wireless mouse for PC's and Macintosh computers. The self-charging based mouse has an optical sensor for high speed ultra accurate tracking. Its manufacturer has used groundbreaking materials to design an outstandingly ergonomic and tactile 5 button wireless mouse. The Obsidian features innovative technology, with a four-mode, touch-sensitive scroll, recharge dock and two battery packs for 24/7 use.

The charger base connects to any USB port, and the mouse, itself, once initially charged, can be used on any hard surface up to 30 feet away from the computer. It is perfect for mouse controlled presentations on your large screen monitor. The time it takes to fully charge the mouse is only 120 minutes, while it will operate constantly off its charger base for a full twelve hours on a single charge. The device operates on its own USB wireless dongle transmitter/receiver. Obsidian comes complete with two Li-ion battery packs, one that charges while not in use, and one to be used.

The product includes device drivers and power management software for any Macintosh X OS or PC running Windows Vista, XP, or XP x64. Drivers are available to operate in either the 32 bit or 64 bit mode which makes it compatible with most single and dual processor computers. The review unit we received did not have the Vista 64 bit software on a supplied CD, but we found it with easy instructions on the company website. The company supplies the product worldwide, and has support and download sites in seven languages.
