Exclusive News About American Inventor TV Show - Season Two

Attention American Inventor TV show fans!

Here's an exclusive update from AmericanInventorSpot.com:

Auditions:

I think many of us have been waiting patiently to find out when auditions for Season Two of American Inventor would begin. In the past couple of months, we've heard lots of rumors about when the auditions for Season Two would start. ABC has not officially announced a start date. However, we have finally been able to confirm from multiple sources that the current plans of the producers of American Inventor are to start auditions for Season Two in February, 2007.

Location of Auditions:

This may be hard to believe for some of our readers, but even though we have our resources, we have our limits. Sorry folks - we have not been able to confirm the locations for the auditions yet. We hear they are still being discussed. We have heard several rumors and will share the locations of the auditions with you as soon as we can get those locations confirmed.

Air Date of Season Two:

If the producers of American Inventor stick with their current plans and auditions for Season Two start in February, we anticipate that Season Two should air late Spring/Early Summer, most likely starting in May. Things always change on television, but this is the anticipated timing for the show based on what we know today.

Changes from Season One:

We have also heard that Season Two will be a more serious show, focused less on the inventor and their "sob story" and more on the inventions and the invention process. I think that will be relief for everyone - the people auditioning and the viewers alike. The AmericanInventorSpot.com team is very excited to hear that they will be trying to elevate the quality of the show and help educate people on the invention process.

Thanks Erik and welcome to

Thanks Erik and welcome to the team.

I think their changing the timing to the Summer Season is pretty interesting. Competing with CSI was not a winning strategy.

Who would they be competing with for eyeballs in May?

what AI inventions are now being marketed?

Is Erik Thompsons Catch being mass produced by a Company? Or just little batches by Erik himself? The rules for AI was that the invention could be on the market within 3 months! Where are they? Has AI extended the time from last season due to the Anecia not yet sold yet at KMart? The Niya doll was one that AI could bet on for it was sold in KMart for years (wasn't a new invention as rules state); yet got the $50,000.00 for development. What if the invention is a car that runs on water and doesn't need any $50 thousand to develope? Does the Pee Pee bag get to go to CA instead? (2nd Audition)

Locations

I believe Erik believes that most of the cities in 20005 will also be the locations in 2007 for the auditions. Note in his web what cities he will be in for his pitch coach.

"Pee Pee Bag"

is a "Piss Sack"! and it can go ANYWHERE....and so can anyone who is wearing one.

Season One's Audition Schedule

Last year, if I recall correctly, the auditions in all seven cities were pretty much completed within a one month time frame.

Season One's auditions started mid-November, 2005 and ended by mid-December, 2005.

Season one aired on March 16, 2006.

Eric is FAKE

Eric is a fake inventor that came out with this useless products that did even make it onto production. He is trying to lavargae his "fame" and still money from inventors and other patent related companies. Who is he to provide consulation? what is his background. Come'n give me a break. And inventorspot needs any way to get more fame so they are so desprate and use even a looser such as Eric. Go figure.
Joe M.

Is that needed?

When *Anonymous* can perform as well as Eric did, then I might listen to him. I am sure there are plenty of political websites that *Anonymous* can spew his thoughts instead of here.

I plan on auditioning for AI season two. I can't wait. Eric's forethoughts and suggestions have been very helpful. Thank you Eric!

p.s. *Anonymous*. Learn to spell or at least get a good spell checker.

When do we get in line?

pjsteele's picture

When the Season Two auditions start(I assume 6-8 weeks) how does the line work?

Does it help to show up early? i.e. 2am, 4am, 6am. Does it help to stand outside before the official 8am start?

I have read on another blog that you sit in a room for hours, 12+.

Any suggestions, besides "bring a book".

Thanks!

Erik

Erik was the best of all the AI inventors at forcefully pitching his invention- "by far" I believe another person pitching his invention however would not have made it that far!

"Eric is a Fake" Comon Dude go Hate Somewhere else.

Listen you dumbass, Erik doesnt need 8 years in college to tell you how things are done. First of all, he is not getting any moeny for trying to help your ass out you should appreciate the fact that he is trying to help all of us present what we passionately love doing. Stop trying to slamm Erik like that, learn to appreciate. Keep doing your Thing Erik, your boy Cisco got your back.

get their early

I was the first person in line at the Chicago auditions, I arrived 10 hours earlier so that I could check out the set-up, Once everything got started (around 8:00am)we were finished in about 3 hours. during the whole waiting period I practice my pitch.

RE:get their early

Thanks for the insight.

Did you wait outside all night? Brrr... Did you bring a chair to sleep in?

Sorry for the questions, I just want to be prepared.

Thanks again!

came early

I got there early just to check things out, seeing how things were set-up. they had us all inside thank god! no chairs just a butt cushion, sercurity didn't allow you to bring chairs or video cameras.
