Space saving, neat, innovative, cool, genius, neat, trendy, wow!!!
What am I talking about, you might wonder?
Well, I just came across a shoe wheel. And believe me it deserves all the accolades it gets. The Shoe Wheel has won the Good Design Award in 2006.
The Shoe Wheel, invented by Rakku has in a sense re-invented the wheel. It is functional and probably one of the greatest shoe storage solutions in recent times.
The Shoe Wheel holds up to 30 pairs of shoes from slinky stilettos to well worn sneakers. It is easy to store shoes into the expandable slots which are protected by elastic bands. The shoes won't run off anywhere. The slotting ensures visible tidiness and uniformity. And it makes for easy storage and easier retrieval when you need to run.
Just turn the wheel to see which shoe matches your outfit, and you're done. No rummaging through racks of shoes, bent low, and cursing at the lack of light...and neatness.
The Shoe Wheel can be conveniently rolled with the help of smaller wheels into any narrow space in the house, in case you want to hide your shoes. But with a shoe rack like this, who would want to? So go ahead and display your shoes and the rack...we are told Oprah does it.
The Shoe Wheel is priced at $65 and available in silver, white or black at the Rakku website.

30?
Submitted on June 30th, 2008 by AnonymousOn the shoe wheel, the blurb says it will hold up to 30 pairs of shoes. It looks pretty full and unless I'm not looking at it right, it is holding 17 pairs of shoes. How would you ever manage to get 30 in there?
Thanks for the info.
