The bottom line
Submitted on April 21st, 2006 by LBS (not verified)Can you estimate the final cost on this? (Production or consumer.)
I'm no expert but the panels alone are quite expensive, no? By the time production etc is added on I'm afraid most people will be priced out, even before giving yourself any profit.
solar polar rock and roller we are looking at
Submitted on April 24th, 2006 by dwight sloan (not verified)LBS,
we are looking at bringing this thing in around
$170 per unit to the consummer. I know that it
sound high but just think about all the people
who are purchasing Ipods for $300 a pop. All
that is is a hardrive! I think that there is a great
market for this product. and will continue
to try to get it manufactured. Thanks for your
input
Great concept!
Submitted on April 25th, 2006 by Anonymous (not verified)Does it keep items in the cooler cold or hot with the solar power, as well? I know you have a limit on how much it can power at once, but think that would be an awesome feature. I would totally buy one.
