Looking out your window one warm summer night, would YOU expect to see big blue lights coming from some kind of giant aircraft hovering over your family-owned bar? I certainly wouldn't, and if this were to happen, I would like to think it would bring a whole new meaning of "UFO" to mind. Thinking hard about this phenomenon waiting in the wings, I tried out the new hit game Prey.

Well, I had committed in the 10 Types of Women You Need to Avoid article that I would write about Men to Avoid.
I really regretted suggesting I would do that as it was almost impossible to find male dolls that were not "adult", and I really did not enjoy looking at all the stupid looking adult male dolls (...and yes, I may someday do an article on them if I can get it through our censors). It only took me about a week of scouring the net to finally realize that dolls for men are called "action figures". Duh!
So here's my dating advice on the 10 Types of Men You Need to Avoid, as highlighted by dolls, I mean male action figures:

Looking into the face of evil isn't so easy for some of us, but what about facing a simple, easily solved obstacle? Well, you might have to give a little on the simple part, or even the easily solved part, but there are sure to be obstacles in the new computer game Portal, being developed by the creators of Half Life 2: Episode Two. read more »
Spiked MohawkWhen I was a kid, no one wore bicycle helmets. You were probably risking a butt whooping if you wore one. Today, our kids have to wear bicycle helmets (at least where I live). But they aren't the cooliest thing in the world to be seen in.

Lite BriteA couple of weeks ago, my sons came across my old Barbie dolls. Wow. What a flashback I had when they opened up my Barbie doll case (the box that held all my dolls and clothes). Talk about a flood of memories from my childhood. read more »
I was sitting at a restaurant the other day, watching a mom and a dad arguing with their little girl about whether the dad should take a new job. ... It's clear that the parents had lost control of their obnoxious daughter, but I also thought it clear that they had also lost control of their senses.
This incident got me wondering about whether we have gone too far in spoiling our children. We let them make decisions they should not make, do things they should not be doing and buy junk they should not have. I think some of us may spoil our children too much, and in that way fail our kids as parents.
I think the way we have come to overly spoil our kids is obvious in the stuff that we buy for them. With that idea as my inspiration this week, here are my 11 finds for the foolish ways we spoil our kids... read more »
Well, in celebration of the Fourth of July, I wanted to celebrate with you the fact that America is still the Land of the Free.
Thanks to the foresight of our founding politicians and the support and sacrifices of following generations, in spite of some of the recent tarnish on our country, we are still a beacon of freedom and independence for many.
As the blogger here at AmericanInventorSpot.com focused on wacky products and ideas, I thought it interesting to not that our freedom is well reflected in all of the things we buy and do here in America. So here are my picks for some of the best products out there exemplifying that we are country that is still gloriously free...to be wacky and weird. read more »
ISwiss Strolli 1 was looking on the internet when I came this stroller accessory. Essentially, it is an attachable tricycle. You can attach the tricycle to the stoller (stroller is not included). Just wanted to restate it because it took me by surprise the first time I saw it. Let me describe the product to you and then I’ll let you know my opinion.
king tutAll little girls (at least the ones I know) love playing dress up. There are tons of costumes for them especially princess costumes. There aren't as many for boys ... at least I hadn't found them.
One day, we (me and my two boys) went to a birthday party that was at a children's store. At the party, they had tons of dress up hats for kids. The good news was they actually had hats for boys (other than the typical fireman's hat).
Is anyone else amazed by the toys that are out there? Sometimes I look at the toys and ask myself, is this really for kids?
When I had my first child, I saw the mini motorized cars for kids. I immediately wanted one. To tell the truth, sometimes my children end up with certain toys because I want it so badly (yes, my sons have a mini motorized fire truck). Is this wrong? I don’t think so. What’s the point of having kids if you can’t relive your childhood a little bit (just more responsibly).
Well, here are some toys that I know daddies all over the world would love to play with. More...
