Nothing drains me of energy faster than having the heat of the summer sun beating down on me. So what can you do to cool off? Aside from taking huge swigs out of the water bottle, there's a new player in town that promises to keep you cool and feeling mighty fine: the CoolWare Personal Cooling System.
Electronic waste is one of the biggest problems that affects not only America, but also the rest of the world. Most electronics (or the parts that make them up) are full of toxins, and simply throwing them out will have detrimental impacts on the natural world. The good news is that electronics can easily be recycled, and oftentimes, they can also be reused.
A lot of people say that refurbished goods aren't for them. The reason for that is they have misconceptions on the quality, durability, and functionality of refurbished items. But the fact of the matter is this: just because it's been 'fixed up' or 'repaired' doesn't mean that it won't last long.
O-rings. They're those small, looped elastomers that mechanics and photography hobbyists always seem to say they need when they're in the middle of some project. I was pretty much blown away by how useful these little buggers were, which led me to think about what the world would be like without o-rings--and let me just say, it wasn't pretty.
