I've seen this photo so many times, but until today I had no idea who designed this clever bird feeder. The Bird Crumbs feeder is, in fact, a do-it-yourself project, created by Spanish industrial designer, Curro Claret.  Isn't it tooo wonderful?

What happens to pets when their owners have terminal illnesses? Unfortunately, many of them end up in already overcrowded shelters. But Pet Peace Of Mind, a program developed by the Rev. Delana Taylor McNac for the Hospice of Green County Inc. in Tulsa, has a solution that's good for the patient and good for the pet.

There's a fantastic line of yummy goodies for your pets - I've even tasted the dog cookies - created by a gourmet chef, Mitch Ross. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Ross flipped his catering business into an international gourmet all-natural treat business for dogs, cats, horses and birds. These treats are artistically creative and very reasonably priced.

Scientists at the Merck Research Laboratories have finally come up with a once-a-month pill for dogs and cats.  No, it's not for birth control; it's for fleas and ticks!  And wait until you read about the other big benefit of the pill.... (important update added, June 30, 2009)
