Alarm clocks are a pain in the butt. No one wants to get up in the morning, or they wouldn't need an alarm clock, would they?  That's why we all have snooze buttons on our alarm clocks, because we need one more chance to be late. Ineffective as snooze alarms are for many, engineer Paul Sammut has created a new version of the alarm clock, one that never shuts up!

The thumbtack, or 'drawing pin' as it was first named by the British, was invented more than a century ago.  It  is so simply designed, it's hard to think of how it could be improved... unless you happen to stick a few fingers into a box of these pins to try to pick one out just one from the pack. Ouch! 

I doubt the word 'cooties' was in Vioguard's application to the FDA  for approval of the very first Self-Sanitizing Keyboard (The UVKB50), but when you consider all of the types of germs that congregate on and between the keys of communal computer keyboards, you'll definitely want to avoid them like the cooties.  Hopefully, your company is willing to wait on line to order the hygienic keyboard....

Knowing how much I love gadgets, my family members always try to find a gadget I've never seen or used before.  No offense to the others, whose Christmas gifts were thoughtful and novel, but there was one gift from my sister that I have searched for, for years, I'd like to tell you about... a travel thermos that keeps my coffee hot for a few hours and that doesn't spill all over my car if I make a quick turn.
