Bin 8 Bottle Is Eight Handy Kitchen Tools In One

2 Min Read

The Bin 8 “Kitchen Tool Like Bottle” is a stylish storage solution for those tired of searching for that essential utensil lurking unseen in kitchen drawers and cupboards.

Appearing to be one part empty jumbo soda bottle, one part toddler stacking toy, the Bin 8’s design takes advantage of a convenient fact: many kitchen tools, utensils and gadgets can be constructed in circular forms with similar diameters.

Disassembled as shown above, the Bin 8 comprises (from the top down) a funnel or bud vase, a lemon squeezer, a spice grater, an egg masher, a cheese grater, a cap opener, an egg separator, and a measuring cup scaled from 50ml to 350ml.

Different types of plastics have been selected to best suit each individual tool’s purpose, such as heat-resistant elastomer resin for the funnel and attachment, tough ABS plastic for the cheese grater and flexible polypropylene for the egg separator. All plastics used are food-safe though it’s not stated on the product page whether they’re dishwasher safe.

The Bin 8 does sacrifice some functionality for the sake of style, however, and potential customers should be aware the tools stack but do not click or stick together – it’s more at home in a home kitchen than in an RV, for example. It’s available from Konna Online Shop in Japan and at Amazon.com for North American buyers. (images via Tokai Radio)
