Though we know that Bo was a gift for Sasha and Malia Obama, like all the other dogs who’ve lived in that big White House, Bo is America’s First Dog and our interest in him is great. I’m sure that we would all send Bo gifts, if we thought they might reach him. If my gifts would reach him… here’s what I think Bo needs.
1. Bo’s White House Replica
Every dog needs his own space and being that Bo is our First Dog, he needs his own White House to match his stature. This is the most expensive gift on my list, and it will probably the most expensive dog house ever, so if you want to really impress the First Family and the rest of the country… this is THE GIFT. Here’s my
bias: Dog’s should not be pulled by the neck, even if it’s the dog who
is doing the pulling. No neck. A collar looks nice, carries tags well,
but should not be used as a restraint. Puppia makes some
great looking soft harnesses that are gentle leaders, and if a dog
pulls, it’s the strongest part of his body that’s behind it — his

No,
we shouldn’t marry off the First Dog quite yet, but the Puppia Vest

As

7. Bo’s Car Safety Gear: Pet Tube Travel Station
I
can’t very well recommend that the First Family buy a Volvo or a Honda
Element, two cars with built-in safety features for dogs. So, in lieu
of that, I’m recommending what I would put into my own car for my dog’s
safety, the Petego Pet Tube Travel Station. I recommend this enclosure
for Bo because he’s young and he will probably want to jump around
while he’s in a limousine, and that’s not safe. Even in a dog harness
attached to a safety belt, a dog can find a way to get into trouble and
maybe get hurt. I recommend the large Pet Tube for Bo; as he grows, the tube can be extended across the seat, so he can fully stretch out in his stretch limo.
8. Bo’s Bouncing Toy: All Natural TurnUp
The
All Natural TurnUp bounces high and flies far; it’s also great for Bo’s
developing teeth and gums and it’s as indestructible as the other heavy
