Acai, the Amazon rainforest super-berry, is everywhere these days. It is in drinks, beauty creams, yogurt, granola bars, cereal and the list goes on. Now there is a new product that is employing the anti-oxidant powers of acai. The Brazilian Peel is a facial peel treatment meant for use at home, but with nearly the same benefits of professional peels.
If you have used the regular peels that you can buy in most stores and are thinking that this one will probably be similar, you may be in for a surprise. The Brazilian Peel is 5 times stronger than the products available on store shelves. The amount of glycolic acid included in the product (30%) is the highest that has ever been used in a home product thus far.
It does sound a bit scary for home use, but the makers, Advanced Home Actives, have included their Q-Mag Neutralizer which they say delivers the active ingredient without causing any adverse reaction. Once the slate has been wiped clean, the acai is then meant to go to work at healing some of the damage the skin has taken.
The product is said to restore the glow and firmness that the skin once had, as well as reducing sun damage, blemishes and dry spots. It comes in pre-measured syringes and costs about $110.00 for four treatments.
