Call for Inventors! O-Cedar® Wants The Next Big Mop!

2 Min Read

O-Cedar, manufacturer of household cleaning products, is looking for the next hot floor care product. A mop with a twist, a new "hairdo," a new material, or a self cleaning broom… I don’t know; am I giving anything away here?

A new floor care product… This is a tough one! But that’s what makes
it fun! Make sure you do your market research well before you even
start thinking about new gadgets. There are so many floor care products
created and marketed, that even if you’re in that line of business, you
may not be up on all of them.

O-Cedar is interested in floor care ideas that "modernize cleaning," work better than other products and, especially, that provide real innovative solutions. O-Cedar’s customers are women, 25 – 54, so it is looking for a product for the home, not an industrial product. Recent trends (think Swiffer®) and other multi-functional, disposable, interchangeable, sanitary, delivery, etc.) Check out O-Cedar for sure.

Edison Nation will screen applications before forwarding them to O-Cedar. Submissions must be made by September 28, 2009. If your product is selected, you’ll get a deal for some percentage of sales for 20 years and a $2,500 advance.

Please check all the rules very carefully before submitting (for example, your product idea must be patentable) and read the Innovator Agreement and Assignment Agreement carefully with a business attorney,
if necessary. Before submitting an idea, you really should know what your rewards will be and if they meet your desires and
expectations.
