Office
Going to meetings on site may just be a
thing of the past in the near future. At least that is the idea behind the
newest robot getting ready to come to an office near you. The bot, which has
been dubbed the Ava 500, is a joint project between iRobot and tech giant
Cisco.
The companies are working on a bot that
can drive itself around the office and provide an HD teleconference experience at
the same time.
The bot was recently shown off at a
trade show in the state of Florida. It is expected to be on sale, and perhaps
even in stores in the beginning of next year. There is no hard date. For the
time being there is also no set price point for the units currently.
