Get set for Valentine’s Day 2012 with the “Happy Valentine Set” from Domino’s Pizza Japan and Italian confectioner BABBI. Though heart-shaped pizza has become a Japanese Valentine’s Day tradition thanks to DJ’s marketing and promotional savvy, this year hungry loving couples get to satisfy their sweet tooths (teeth?) as well.
The 1,900 yen ($24.65) “Happy Valentine Set” features a medium (25cm or 10-inch) Domino’s heart shaped pizza topped with fresh mozzarella cheese, pomo d’oro tomato sauce and sliced pepperoni.
Normally the heart-shaped pizza alone runs 1,300 yen ($16.90) but what’s a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner without a sweet, tasty dessert?
To that end, Domino’s Japan has partnered with Italian confectioner BABBI to provide a small but sumptuous Tiramisu roll lavishly wrapped in BABBI’s signature red & white livery. BABBI is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year and the tie-in with Domino’s Japan is just one of many “sweet” promotional deals on tap for 2012.
Domino’s Japan will be running its special Valentine’s Day promotion from Friday, February 10th through Tuesday, February 14th inclusive. Domino’s will pack your pizza in a pink-tinted box emblazoned with a huge pink heart – it’s up to you to supple the dimmed lighting, soft music and champagne. (via Gigazine)
