If you’re looking for a device to really step your smartphone photography game up, look no further than the Muku Shuttr; the little peripheral that allows you to take hands-free pictures with your Android or Apple smartphone. The Shuttr was made possible thanks to their Kickstarter campaign that reached their goal in a little over a week. The Shuttr uses Bluetooth technology to pair with your device and allows for (almost) hands-free photography.

I say "almost" because technically you still are required to hold the Shuttr in order to take said picture. However, being able to use the included audio jack kickstand or a tripod of some sort allows for a much more stabilized photo. With cell phone cameras continuing to evolve, add-ons like the Shuttr are great if you are looking to flex on Instagram or Twitter, or if you just enjoy photography. Nothing can take a great photo and turn it into "just another picture" quicker than little annoyances like blur, and being able to steadily (and remotely), take a picture almost always eliminates that blurriness found in many smartphone pictures.

The actual Shuttr is small, fits on a keychain and has almost no learning curve. There is a button to take the picture and then two switches on either side. One switch is to turn the Shuttr on and off; the other to switch between Android and iOs. That’s it, that’s all there is to the Shuttr. It does what it is intended to do, and it does it well. The size could afford to be a bit smaller for keychain users, but it’s a minor inconvenience. If you have been looking to improve the quality of your camera photos, or have specifically been looking for a remote shutter for your smartphone, then Shuttr is a good place to start!
