If you have seen the movie Meet the Parents, then you understand how difficult it can be to install a spy camera in your home that doesn’t look blatantly out of place. After all, a spy-camera teddy bear may look appropriate in your daughter’s crib, but not on the nightstand of a grown man or woman.
And while this may or may not have been the inspiration for tech company Ankaka, they have unveiled a new gadget that will let you keep your eyes on your home while you remain at a distance. Ankaka’s new device, called the “human body sensing clothes hook,” is as simple as that – it appears to be an ordinary clothes hook, yet contains a camera inside with a resolution of 1280×720. It can be placed in any location you would like, and contains a remote control that can be operated from up to 25 feet away.
Now, it would be impossible to say that Ankaka was the first to pioneer spy camera technology, but their new device allows you to view video feed without arousing suspicion due to an obvious gadget in presence. With this, at an individual cost of only $33, anyone with a few extra dollars to spend can make sure their prized possessions are being monitored at all times.
