SEAT Automotive got quite a few nods when they first took the cover off of their sporty model of the Cupra. Now, they have unveiled their latest and most economical version of the new Ibiza.
The new vehicle has been dubbed the Ibiza Ecomotive and comes in either a 5 door hatchback or a 3 door Sportcoupe. Powering both the 5 and 3 doors versions is Volkswagen's 1.4 litre 3-cylinder TDI turbo diesel engine which makes 80 horsepower at the wheels.
According to the Spain based car company, the new Ecomotive features a very low CO2 emissions figure while also providing very low consumption. SEAT has not yet released any official fuel mileage figures.
Also new for the Ibiza are improved aerodynamics from the addition of a low profile rear spoiler and a closed front grille. The gearbox has been revised to offer more efficient gear ratios and the engine software has also been updated. A set of low resistance 175/70 tires are mounted to 14in rims and complete the lightweight equation.
The price for a new SEAT Ibiza Ecomotive is set around £10,500 ($19,120) and provides more than enough excitement for the price.
