It’s been a long time coming, but Walmart finally picked a pair of their favorite new products as the grand prize winners for their “Get on the Shelf” contest. It won’t be too long before you’ll be able to pick up a set of SKRIBS Customizable Wristbands and the Elvis Presley Home Bedding Collection for yourself!
Olugbenga Oluwatumilara “Tumi” Oredein Jr. from Richmond, Virginia, designed SKRIBS to be a fun accessory that allows the wearer to instantly doodle whatever comes to mind. These colorful wristbands are sure to be a hit for doodle-crazy kids nationwide, so keep an eye out for these dry-erase inventions!
David Bursteen, the Los Angeles based co-president of Legends Home Bedding was picked by Walmart to sell his Elvis Presley Home Bedding Collection as the first licensed bed set for the King of Rock & Roll.
In addition to the two grand prize winning inventions listed above, Walmart will also sell the other three winners from their webisode round of judging: “BluTrack” the flexible toy car raceway, “Chemo Beanies” a series of stylish headwear for chemotherapy patients, and the Gibi Pet Location Service, a GPS service that allows users to track their pets using their computer or smart phone.
