Solve The Stabilizer Leg Suspension Challenge, Win $1,000!

2 Min Read

The crew at Novative Designs Inc. are looking for a creative solution to a problem concerning one of their hauling machine’s stabilizing legs, and if you can solve it, you could earn up to $1,000 for your design expertise!

Alright designers, here’s what you need to know: Novative created a new hand truck that features a stabilizing arm that the team has affectionately named the “stinger.” The stinger’s job is to balance the machine while it’s being rolled on uneven ground, and it was intended to carry up to 1,200 pounds of pressure at a time. Unfortunately, the stinger’s spring assisted shock is too small, and that makes the weight held by the hand trucks place an uneven and unsafe amount of force on the stinger.

It’s up to you to either improve Novative’s stinger arm, or to scrap it for an even better design. Novative and GrabCAD are ready to award cash prizes of $1,000, $200 and $100 to the top three innovations, but the top ten designers earn themselves a swanky GrabCAD scrapbook, so that’s a nice consolation prize!

The Stabilizer Leg Suspension Challenge lasts through February 23rd, (click here to enter), so do yourself a favor by checking out Novative’s designs and specification sheets. That moment of brilliance might hit you, and you could walk away from your workstation $1,000 richer for it!
