On the eve of the Apple Watch going into preorders April 10th, starting as early as 3:01 a.m. ET — not to be outdone — Netflix released some surprising news regarding its own timepiece. With an appropriate dose of tongue-and-cheek, in an advance promo, the Netflix Watch is said to be coming soon, providing gadget-lovers the world-over to “experience total freedom.”
Uploaded to YouTube this week, this Netflix video describes their watch as our new opportunity to view our favorite Netflix Originals directly from our wrists. And not only will you we be able to view ‘Orange is the New Black” on-the-go, you’ll be also be able to see it high-quality streaming!
Now, couple this with a Google’s Self-Driving car, and you will be able to virtually stream and drive by using both devices in tandem.
That’s right, autos to be manufactured by Google will contain ‘autonomous’ technology that is run by electricity. On May 28, 2014, Google presented a new prototype of their driverless car that had neither a steering wheel nor gas pedals. The project is currently being led by Google engineer Sebastian Thrun, former director of the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and co-inventor of Google Street View.
So with Netflix on your wrist, no longer will you have to worry about traffic cops pulling you over for using a hand-held devices while driving – because now you can kick your feet up and watch a full-length movie while cruising the highways and by-ways for both short hauls and long trips.
