This Door Chime has motion sensors on either side so that when someone tries to enter the room you can hear the door "opening." Press the white button to communicate with the bridge or engineering. Only push the switch in the center downwards for red alert — you know — when aliens have invaded or you need to go to the bathroom. Yeah, they should really have some of those put in on the Enterprise.

There is a switch on the back that controls the volume of the red alert so that you don’t annoy the crew members in neighboring quarters or on planets you happen to be passing. There are also two spaces provided for mounting the panel on either side of the door. The gadget requires three AA batteries which are not included.
