Zombie pop culture continues to spread around the world, though many criticize the phenomenon for its lack of taste. No longer! A Japanese snack company seeks to spice up zombie cuisine with a new, blue snack food called Zombie Meat.
According to the cool Japanese trend-watchers at Pink Tentacle, inside each package you’ll find "bite-sized chunks of tender blue flesh that, according to the package, has been aged to deadly perfection at the graveyard." The ad copy also describes Zombie meat as being "juicy"… not that such added embellishments are really needed to attract your average schlock horror fan.
Speaking of embellishments, check out the two bright red "balls" keeping the Zombie Meat company on the plate. I think they’re tomatoes, but at this point anything’s possible.
Zombie Meat seems to be nothing more than chopped beef jerky, given a peppery flavor and dyed blue. Not green, blue. The late great comedian George Carlin once wondered, "where is the blue food?"… I think he would approve of Zombie Meat (though your Mom might not).
