Microsoft has announced that attendees at Gamescom in August will have the chance to play a demo of the highly anticipated game, Hollow Knight: Silksong, on the new Xbox Ally handheld devices. The Xbox booth at the event will showcase over 20 titles. Visitors can also expect a new theater experience featuring The Outer Worlds 2, as well as hands-on sessions with games like Roblox, Sea of Thieves, and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 on the Xbox Ally handhelds.
The first public hands-on of Ninja Gaiden 4 will also be available. The presence of the Silksong demo at Gamescom suggests that the game may finally be released later this year, after a long period of anticipation. Microsoft will also fully reveal Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 during Opening Night Live at Gamescom on August 19th, promising “a couple more surprises” from their partners.
The ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, third-party portable Xbox consoles set to launch later this year, will be publicly showcased for the first time at the Xbox booth.
Silksong demo arrives at Gamescom
These devices have generated significant excitement among gaming enthusiasts.
Xbox’s biggest first-party game for the rest of the year, excluding Call of Duty, will feature a “theater experience,” offering attendees a hands-off demo. Obsidian’s garden sequel, Grounded 2, will also be playable for those who prefer not to play the Game Preview version at home. Gamescom, known for having the highest public attendance of any video game show, will take place from August 21 to 24 at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.
Xbox will be located in Hall 7. For those unable to attend, extensive coverage will be provided directly from the show floor. The event promises to be a highlight for gaming enthusiasts, providing a glimpse into upcoming releases and the latest in gaming technology.
Attendees and fans alike are eagerly awaiting more details on the ROG Xbox Ally, as well as the opportunity to experience the highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong demo firsthand.
