TD Bank has secured the naming rights for the newly renovated arena in Hamilton, Ontario, formerly known as FirstOntario Centre. The venue will now be called the TD Coliseum as part of a multiyear agreement. The Oak View Group (OVG) led the $280 million renovation project, which includes upgrades to the facade, premium seating, acoustics, and back-of-house facilities.
The 18,000-seat venue is set to reopen later this year with performances by Andrea Bocelli and Brad Paisley scheduled for December. Tim Leiweke, chairman and CEO of Oak View Group, expressed pride in joining forces on this transformative project and welcoming TD as the official naming rights partner.

Raymond Chun, group president and CEO of TD Bank Group, highlighted the redevelopment of the facility, which will feature reimagined spaces and next-generation technologies. The TD Coliseum will also debut The Iron Cow Public House, an in-arena, full-service restaurant and bar led by celebrity chef Matty Matheson. The restaurant will span over 9,500 square feet and seat up to 185 guests.
Live Nation partnered with OVG on the renovation project to enhance the venue’s capacity to host top-tier events and boost the local entertainment landscape. Despite this strategic move, TD Bank’s stock price (TSE:TD) slipped slightly in Wednesday morning trading. Analysts have assigned a Moderate Buy consensus rating to the stock based on recent ratings, with a slight downside risk of 1.16% from the current share price of C$97.40.
