Jack Black will reprise his role as Officer Dick in the upcoming release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4. The character first appeared as a secret skater in the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater in 1999 and quickly became a fan favorite. In the new game, Black will also introduce a new character, Officer Dick’s English equivalent, Constable Richard.

According to the game’s character bio, Richard Ennvee was mocked by other skaters and called a “poser” in his youth. Driven by a desire for revenge, he vowed to become what those skaters feared most – the long arm of the law. Game director Kurt Tillmanns expressed his enthusiasm for Black’s return, saying, “We really loved Jack Black’s inclusion in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2.

He played a school security guard who would yell at the skater and try to run them off the grounds.

We thought that was a really fun, interesting character and wanted to carry that tradition of celebrity cameo forward.”

Tillmanns explained that the team modified some narratives from the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4, where Officer Tom was running for campus security sheriff at a college, to reintegrate Officer Dick.

“In the previous game, he was just on high school grounds, trying to control the skaters. Now, his power trip has evolved, and he’s become the campus security sheriff at a college,” Tillmanns said. In addition to American locations, the game will feature a new London level, where Constable Richard, voiced by Black with a British accent, will make his debut.

Fans can check out a trailer showcasing both Officer Dick and Constable Richard in action, complete with Black’s signature high-kicking moves and convincing English accent. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 is set to release on July 11, 2025, and will be available across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. It will also be accessible through Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass PC upon release.
